Course Types

Please read through the 3 types of courses below. If your child or children are attending a course with their friends please make sure you book them on the same type of course. Should your child not feel comfortable or satisfied in their group then please bring it to the attention of the course organiser after the first day and we can make sure that they move groups.

 

BEGINNER TYPE

  • Ideal for complete beginners or children that are relatively new to the game.
  • Age range is ideally 6 to 8 years old.
  • They do mainly specific skill based games.
  • Will play a game or two towards the end of the course.
  • Soft balls used.

INTERMEDIATE TYPE

  • Ideal for children aged 7 to 8 that are pretty advanced and children aged 9 to 10 who need a bit of help with their overall game. Would recommend this for boys that are in school B/C team and below.
  • Age range 7 to 10.
  • 30% of the course is skill specific games and 70% is match practice
  • Soft balls and hard balls used.
  • Suggest you bring all pads and protective gear with you. Pads & protective gear will be provided should any children not have any equipment.
  • Please make sure that children have correct underwear to hold cricket box in place.

ADVANCED TYPE

  • We would recommend this for boys who are playing A & B team cricket at school.
  • Age range 9 to 12.
  • Entire course is match practice based.
  • Use a hard ball.
  • Suggest you bring all pads and protective gear with you. Pads & protective gear will be provided should any children not have any equipment.
  • Please make sure that children have correct underwear to hold cricket box in place.
